Congratulations to Jake and Deb! Recipients of a Community Justice Award.
From the entire team at ADVAS – our small staff team, as well as the growing team of volunteer advocates and our board of directors – extend our happiest congratulations to Deb and Jake on their Alberta Community Justice Award!
Jake is an active member of our team, and he lives and works with Deb (our court coordinator). Since he arrived in late 2019, he has supported dozens of people who are victims while continuing to master his skills. Jake provides calm, non-judgemental, and unconditionally caring support to people on some of their hardest days. Whether he is on a scene, in an interview room, or on the floor at the court – Jake is appreciated and welcomed because he is so helpful.
Thank you Deb for all that you do to help Jake be the best Victims Support dog, and thank you Jake for being calm, patient, and caring.
